Infinite Dungeon Crawler Frequently Asked Questions
What type of game is Infinite Dungeon Crawler?
So I’ve played other dungeon crawlers. What makes this one different?
IDC revolves around one character that represents you. You get to build the character, choose their gender, race (human, dwarf, half-goblin, or 3 types of elves), customize their facial features/height/body size, etc.. There is a lot of customization involved. You then recruit characters in town to join your expeditions, typically rounding out your party with different class types (e.g., Mage, Paladin, Rogue, etc.). You control your character and the NPC’s for the most part.
Next, you start delving into dungeons to explore new worlds, fight monsters and collect loot. As your characters level up, you’ll gain skills and abilities, as well as be able to afford better and better gear. There are a ton of abilities to choose from, depending on your class.
So at this point, you’re thinking “you just described every RPG”. True. But here’s where things get different from other dungeon crawlers.
The worlds are randomly generated, and they are quite diverse. So each time you enter a dungeon, it will be different. And with about 30 different types of monsters, there is enough variety to keep things interesting.
The graphics are an isometric view, not top-down or side-scroller. So you get a depth of view that you don’t get with other games, as well as a bigger area of play to strategize during combat.
The “basic” game is a natural, green forest-type world with mountains, rivers, and trees. But we will have several affordable expansion packs that add on new worlds with new monsters (an ice world, a true dungeon with dark halls and rooms, a fire world, etc.). We plan to release additional expansion packs on a regular basis to keep the game fresh.
Where can I play it?
Infinite Dungeon Crawler will be released on Steam June 11, 2021. We are currently working on the version for Android devices and expect to release that soon afterwards. We are looking into iOS, but no promises.
Who made Infinite Dungeon Crawler?
One guy who really loves gaming! The developer has been a professional programmer for 20 years but has done various smaller games along the way mostly for fun. This is his first, big commercial release and he’s worked on it pretty much full-time for two years.
Is it on Google Play or Steam yet?
So Google Play doesn’t let you publish your storefront until you have a product publicly available, so since it is still a closed beta you won’t find us there yet.
On Steam, just search for “Infinite Dungeon Crawler” and you’ll see our storefront. You can also choose to follow us on Steam.
Is there a beta of the game or demo?
We’re doing closed beta testing right now.
